This week we have been learning about Cyprus. Our teacher wants us to get more excited about words so she chose a word for us to focus on this week and the word was the name of our friend, Cyprus. When we did some research we found out a whole lot of things just by thinking about that one word. Our teacher found this site called StoryBoard That. We had to answer some questions and we had to put a photo and some characters in each picture box. I loved doing this because it was really surprising how all this information has got something to do with Cyprus.

Learning Journey wk 11 term 1 2017

This is my Learning journey for the whole of the Year. I want to achieve all my goals for Maths Writing and extra this is for Term 1 week 11 Year 6. The thing I think I have done well is my Reading. But next time I think I could improve my Writing level.

We have been learning the protocol for powhiri. We had to match the Maori word with the English phrases of words that can be used during a powhiri.
